Dedh-Shana began as a college final project and naturally evolved into a unique tote bag brand. Our founder, Archit, initially focused on exploring functionality in fashion, recognising that bags are among the most practical and utility-driven accessories. His research led to an appreciation for the functional design of canvas bags used locally to carry heavy items, which are often adorned with vibrant advertisements.

These advertisements, once very common, have now gained nostalgic significance. This realization inspired our primary design: an artboard filled with vintage store logos, banners, fonts, and more. At this point, our other founder, Daksh joined forces with Archit to look at tote bags from a marketability standpoint. This gave us an epiphany—the streets of India, brimming with colour, culture, emotions, and diversity, offer a treasure trove of inspiration for creating a brand that resonates deeply with people.
